This recent movie starring Parineeti Chopra and Arjun Kapoor in Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, had many striking scenes with majestic mountains in the background, and these took our hearts to the border town of Pithoragarh. The town shares borders with Nepal and the rope bridge shown in the final scene of the film connects the 2 countries. Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar gives us a total feel of this hilly town in Uttarakhand, yet leaves us wanting more!

Shahrukh Khan & Deepika Padukone’s blockbuster Chennai Express made use of the spectacular tea plantations of Munnar to shoot the chirpy song ‘Kashmir Main Tu Kanyakumari,’ and even a few parts of the ‘Titli’ song. The other parts of Titli were also shot in Kerala, in Meesapulimala, Idukki. Even some scenes from the Hollywood film, Life Of Pi were shot in Munnar.
