While there’s been a recent spurt in the number of cool cafes & restaurants in Delhi, Bangalore city still has some really awesome ones that we’d wish would open up in our city too! 1. India’s 1st Slow Living Restaurant & Art Gallery - Maya Bangalore

Not just Bangalore’s but India’s 1st slow living restaurant, Maya in Jayanagar is designed to induce a sense of tranquillity & calmness, away from the hustle & bustle of the fast-paced city life. Inspired by Sri Lankan architecture and located inside an art gallery, the Maya experience is aimed at really slowing down and enjoying the food. The restaurant sources its ingredients from local farmers around Bengaluru & crockery from a tribal potter community close to the city. They are very serious about reducing their carbon footprint and hence have no plastic at their restaurant. Sustainability & slow living - sounds like a must-visit, doesn’t it?!

2. Circus-Themed Restaurant - Circus Canteen Bangalore

We’re going totally gaga over this circus-themed cafe in Bangalore’s Creative Circus, a one-of-a-kind experiment in an old warehouse that is now a budding community of artists, scientists, chefs, gardeners, dreamers and changemakers. The interior of the place is absolutely ravishing, an eclectic mix of vibrant and eye-catching designs. Crowdsourced via a collection drive, every element of the interiors and decor was created using repurposed waste material and has its own unique story! We’re totally adding this to our bucket list, what about you?

3. Auto Rickshaw Restaurant - Dosa Adda

This uber-popular eatery at Banashankari is a real crowd-puller. What's special about it is that it opens at 3:30 AM in the night and wraps up by early morning 6:30 AM! What's more, they serve their soul-satisfying idlis, vadas and scrummy dosas out of an auto. And man, the flocks of people that surround the small auto are a testament to their heavenly taste and epic vibe! We want it here too!

4. Artistic Cafe - Dyu Art Cafe

This artistic cafe radiates some serious calming & peaceful vibes. The 2 storeyed, homelike spot has wooden decor and is ideal to escape the hustle & bustle for some ‘me time.’ You can grab a book, gaze at the art and sip a cuppa cappuccino as you scarf down some house faves AKA Tuna Melt Sandwich, Chicken Florentine, Banoffee Pie (can’t miss this one!) and more.

5. A Lifestyle Cafe & Yoga Studio - Yogi-Sthaan

Clear, white ambience dotted with greenery, flavourful, wholesome & super healthy pure-vegetarian food Lifestyle Cafe & and a pet labrador to entertain you throughout, we’re starting to think that Bangalore is really good for our souls! What has totally won our hearts are the cutesy charpaai seating, with little bells to call for service. The tea, which is the perfect amalgamation of herbs & honey will totally keep you raving. So will the Summer Salad, the Pasta Margarita, Sattu Paratha. So, head over to taste the yogi lifestyle!

6. A Serene Haven - Kasipu Restobar

Your trip to Bangalore shall certainly be incomplete without a visit to Kasipu Restobar, and if you don’t believe us, just scroll through some of their aesthetic AF pictures! This earthy place with its beautiful & lush ambience has our whole heart. Some of the dishes y’all need to try here are Nati Chicken Biryani, Kasipu Special Salad, Creamy Chicken Stroganoff, Cheesy Chaska Kebab, Bubbly Golden Fried Prawns and more.

7. India’s 1st Coffee Experience Centre - Something’s Brewing

Welp, we’re barely holding in our screams! Coffee. Experience. Centre. Ah! The caffeine addict in us has already started booking tickets to Bangalore, and man, do we need this place in Delhi!
This place is perf to meet & connect with coffee enthusiasts & experts, attend coffee workshops, brew your own coffee and shop coffee gear and accessories. Sounds brewtiful, doesn’t it? P.S. - it’s not really a restaurant, just for coffee lovers.
