7,000 People, 150 Companies & 27 Countries: 36th India International Trade Fair Is Now Open!
The India International Trade Fair is back with its 36th edition and President Pranab Mukherjee just inaugurated this big fair today itself!
The theme for the year is ‘Digital India’ which basically focuses on the country’s efforts to alleviate poverty through digital technologies and e-governance! About 7,000 people are to participate in it including 150 companies from over 27 countries like Australia, Afghanistan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, China, Germany, Hong Kong, Kuwait, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Oman, Singapore, UAE, Thailand and loads more!
The fair also provides a glimpse into various schemes and campaigns launched by the government like ‘ Swachh Bharat Campaign’, ‘Clean Ganga Mission’, ‘Farmer Corporation Insurance’ and ‘Jan Dhan Yojana Campaign’, among others.
Plus, the fair also provides first-hand information policies, reforms and new schemes introduced by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry under the Foreign Trade Policy. Apart from all this, the fair also showcases the kaleidoscopic repertoire of India’s ever-so-beautiful handlooms and handicrafts!
Psst - The first five days of the fair have been reserved for business visitors, and the doors to the public will be flung open from the 19th of November, so keep this in mind!
