Painting is one of the most therapeutic forms of art. You don’t have to be the next Van Gogh of the art world, just paint whatever you feel like, even if it’s your fave pack of snack. And it will certainly make you feel much better. You can also try fluid painting which is super easy and no matter what you do, the results will always turn out to be spectacular. Because as Bob Ross used to say, you don’t make mistakes in paintings, you make happy accidents.
2. Learn To Play A New Instrument

This could be anything from as tiny as a Kalimba to something as grand as a piano. Music has been one of the most revered forms of escapes that are always known to have provided peace of mind. And what better way to escape those sad thoughts than learning to play your fave pop song or maybe something even classical! The world of music has infinite possibilities and you must definitely think of exploring it.

If you’ve been wanting to try that age-old family recipe for the longest time, now is the time. You can start with something as basic as sandwiches and move to more complex stuff like cheesecakes or even biryanis. Use your energy and make something creative for yourself and some good homecooked food, prepared from scratch will certainly make you feel giddy with joy! After all, who is immune to good food?
5. Practice Meditation

One of the most effective ways to turn your chaotic thoughts and nervous energy into something calmer is meditation. The aim of reflection is to forget about everything in the past or the future and to just exist at the moment. Some may prefer to sit in sukhasana (simple cross-legged posture) or may even prefer to lie down. Practising meditation every day can be beneficial and this will drive away those over-powering negative thoughts that threaten to take over your mind.
6. Keep A Journal

The main motive behind this activity is to vent out those anxious thoughts that tend to overwhelm you. So, you could either record it in a video or pen it down. You can even write it down as poetry if it makes you feel better, but don’t bottle the feelings. Venting it out in a creative way will not just help you get rid of those scary thoughts and focus on everything positive.
