With amazing Indian music in the backdrop, beautiful paintings on the wall and delicious food on our plates, we would saviour our experience at Café Pride - Pride Plaza Hotel, Aerocity for a long time! Nestled in a posh, pretty place, this fine dine restaurant had a soothing and subtle decor making it perfect for a date night out with bae. Their Indian menu here got us drooling and we tried out these 6 amazing dishes here, check it out!
1. Aam Panna
In this scorching hot summer, our only saviour is the chilled aam panna. So as soon as we spotted it on the menu, we couldn’t help but order it right away! With its nutritious properties and mint flavour, this drink sure won our heart. The Aam Panna here was much needed to settle us down and enjoy the meal. Minty fresh, sweet & sour with a dash of salt, this drink was ah-mazing!
2. Murgh Awadhi
Murgh malai tikka marinated in Awadhi tandoori masala and coated with egg white, the Murgh Awadhi was all this and more! Barbequed in charcoal oven to retain its juices, the chicken was tender, creamy and succulent. You could feel a very distinct taste of shahi jeera in it which totally made us a fan of this dish! Order this dish to get all the Nawab feels.
3. Butter Chicken
At Café Pride, the chefs nail Dilliwalon ki favourite dish, Butter Chicken. The flavour contrast of tomato and cashew on the palate was striking, to say the least! We loved the little flavour party that happened in our mouth, all thanks to the kasoori methi that was added to this dish. The mildly spiced gravy was rich, thick, buttery and flavourful. All we’re saying is - don’t even think of missing this one out!
4. Nalli Nihari
It wouldn’t be wrong to say that Nalli Nihari was the highlight of our lunch here. The mouth-watering aroma was enough to get us excited about stuffing this gravy goodness in your mouth. Silky smooth gravy and lamb, that came apart at the slightest pull, this dish is slow cooked for 16 hours to get this stupendous result. We could feel every single spice and ingredient on our taste buds, so if you’re heading to Cafe Pride then do try it out!
5. Paneer Lababdar
The Paneer Lababdar here was super soft & cooked in a creamy and spicy tomato gravy that made us wanna hog it right away! The vegetables like capsicum, onion and carrots were crunchy in contrast to the paneer, making the dish even more scrumptious. Delish paneer with perfectly cooked paratha - could there be a better combination?!
6. Phirni With Halwa
Nothing can ever go wrong with the good ol’ phirni! Served chilled and in cutesy earthenware, the Phirni here was as delectable as it can be. It was creamy, thick and wasn’t overly sweet, which we loved the most! You could taste the flavours of cardamom, saffron and almonds in it. And if this wasn't enough to satiate your dessert cravings then they also serve Suji Ka Halwa with the Phirni and we definitely weren’t complaining!
So make your beloved feel special and take them on a date here and have an amazing time with some lip- smacking grub.
