The war between Delhi versus Gurgaon is a tale as old as time, especially when it comes to street food. Therefore, we have curated this list of all of our favourite corresponding street food joints from both cities, so that you can judge for yourself which one’s better!

Even though Monu Kachori Wala has ‘Kachori’ in its name, it is incredibly famous for its fresh, hot Bedmi Puris that are served with an equally divine, spicy & flavourful aloo ki sabzi. Whereas, Delhi ka mashhoor Chaina Ram is known for a wide variety of delicious sweets and snacks out of which their puris shine the brightest. These classic wheat puris are typically served with chole, and make for one of Delhi’s favourite breakfasts.

2. Pyare Laal Amritsari Kulcha In Gurgaon Vs Kulcha King In Delhi For Kulcha

Speaking of breakfast, we have one of Gurgaon’s dearest, Pyare Laal Amritsari Kulcha. What makes this restaurant so so special is that the kulchas are completely OIL FREE! Yet, they’re unbelievably crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, and served with perfectly spiced chole. Kulcha King, as the name suggests, is the king of Kulchas in Delhi. Although they do use oil, every bite is worth the extra calories! These well-stuffed Kulchas and spicy chole are satiating to both the stomach and the palate.

3. Pappu Fish Corner In Gurgaon VS Ganesh Restaurant In Delhi For Fish 

The fight between 2 legendary fish joints… it’s the time of our lives, isn’t it? Pappu Fish Corner has made its name because of their juicy, succulent and delicious fish tikka and fish fry. Alternatively, Ganesh Restaurant gained recognition because Ganesh, the owner, is known for taking out the piping hot fish pakoras from the burning hot oil with his BARE HANDS! This act in itself has attracted many customers, but what keeps them coming was the mouth-watering taste of the food.

4. Kishu Di Hatti In Gurgaon Vs Bittoo Tikki Wala In Delhi For Tikki 

Buckle up, it’s the match between 2 beloved joints: KDH vs BTW. Acronyms aside, both these eateries are the first places that come to Gurgaon and Delhi walas minds when they think of chaat. While KDH is a single-standing age-old eatery, BTW has opened several franchises all across Delhi NCR. Kishu is famous mainly for its Dhodha, but its Tikki goes head to head with Bittoo’s. The former’s is served with spicy chole and sweet chutney, and the latter’s with refreshing curd and chutney. Ultimately, the choice is yours! We say, why stick to one?

5. Mangle Di Kulfi In Gurgaon VS Kuremal’s Mohanlal Kulfi Wale In Delhi For Kulfi

Well, it would be a crime to forget about NCR’s all-time favourite dessert, Kulfi, which is Rich, creamy and heavenly. That’s how you can describe the kulfi from both of these places. Standing out tall on Mangle’s diverse menu is probably the classic plain kulfi, especially the one served with faluda. And if you’re feeling extra experimental, you can also bet on Mangle’s paan kulfi. Contrastingly, when it comes to Kuremal it becomes difficult to choose between their variety of 25 kulfis, considering they’re all yummy! Not to mention, Kuremal is where you can find the iconic ‘stuffed kulfis!’ If you are a first-timer, we recommend you go for the classics at both of these places.

6. Sardar Ji Jalebi Wale In Gurgaon VS Old Famous Jalebi Wala In Delhi For Jalebi

Is there anything more satisfying than sugary hot jalebis in the winter? We think not. Sardar Ji’s jalebis are considered unparalleled by Gurgaon-wasis because of their sweet and slightly fermented taste. These jalebis are thicker than usual, mostly eaten solo, and will most certainly have a unique and unforgettable effect on your tastebuds. Old Famous Jalebi Wala is also old and famous for a reason. The astounding sugar rush from eating the jalebis here, which are of course incomplete without their rabri, is a wholesome experience.

7.  Chaat Chowk In Gurgaon VS Prabhu Chaat Bhandar In Delhi For Gol Gappas

If there’s one thing that makes us Delhi NCR folks weak in the knees, then it is desi street-style chaat! *Drooling* Chaat Chowk in Gurgaon’s popular Galleria Market is loved by G-town folks for its flavourful gol gappas and Kolkata-style special puchkas that are very hard to find! But giving it close competition is Prabhu Chaat Bhandar, aka, UPSC wali chaat’s gol gappas. No matter when you go you’ll always find a long line and a huge crowd waiting for their turn for these pockets full of flavour!

No matter where you go you’ll find a momo stall at every 100 metre interval. A popular spot among the corporate crowd in Gurgaon is Momos Point near the American Express building which boasts a variety of momos like tandoori, fried and lots more.
