6 Brand New Indian Shows And Movies To Watch Out For This July!

With the onset of July, we eagerly wait for the monsoon rains to drive the excessive heat away, but for us, a new month also means letting y’all know about all the brand new Indian shows and movies that are slated to release online. And so, as you may have already made a guess, we’re here to tell y’all about all the newest things to watch out for this month. Mark ‘em all in your calendars and before you can begin binge-watching, let’s dive right into the list, shall we?!

1. Samantar (Season 2)

Samantar is a gripping Marathi web series on MX Player that's coming back for the second season this July. It's based on Suhas Shirwalkar's book of the same name and follows the story of a middle-class man Kumar Mahajan. An atheist, he does not believe in astrology but after being persuaded to visit a palmist he goes to him and the astrologer says that he has read his palms before. However, he is shocked because he has never visited the astrologer before. It is then revealed that his lifelines are similar to another man, Sudarshan Chakrapani. And Sudarshan's past is going to be Kumar's future, so he sets off on the mad search to look for him. This thriller series is a must-watch for sure!

2. Haseen Dilruba

Starring Taapsee Pannu, this movie is releasing on Netflix and the plot follows the story of a woman who is under investigation for the alleged murder of her husband along with her lover. However, the truth isn't as straightforward as it seems and during the course of the investigation, some dark secrets come out of the closet. Make sure to watch this movie if you are a fan of murder mysteries!

3. State of Siege: Temple Attack

State Of Siege: Temple Attack is based on the terror strike on the Akshardham Temple in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, on 24th September 2002. This film will premiere on Zee5 and will feature Akshay Khanna. He will be playing the role of a special task force officer, in charge of the mission. This thriller movie highlights the role of the National Security Guards in bringing down the terrorist attack and neutralising the situation.

4. Hungama 2

Hungama 2 is releasing 18 years after the first one was released in 2003. This one is releasing on Disney+Hotstar this July and we can't wait to check it out because we totally loved the old one! This flick is also supposed to be a comedy of errors with actors like Shilpa Shetty Kundra and Paresh Rawal, amongst many others in the cast. Do keep your bucket of popcorn near for this one!

This highly anticipated film starring Farhan Akhtar has faced numerous postponements due to the COVID-19 pandemic and it’s finally releasing on Amazon Prime Video this July! With Farhan Akhtar in the lead role, Toofan is about a criminal’s transformation to a national level boxer. We can already guess how amazing it’s going to turn out. We have previously seen him perform spectacularly in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, and we’re defo waiting for this one with bated breath.

6. Feels Like Ishq

This one is an anthology film that will drop on Netflix on the 23rd of July. This flick will feature 6 cutesy romantic-drama stories that will make you go *aww*! This promising rom-com will feature actors like Amol Parashar, Tanya Maniktala and Radhika Madan, amongst many others. We’re defo waiting for this one, are you?!
