5. National Chambal Wildlife Sanctuary

National Chambal Sanctuary or the National Chambal Gharial Wildlife Sanctuary is home to the critically endangered Gharial - small crocodiles, the red-crowned roof turtle and the endangered Ganges River Dolphin. It’s a huge sanctuary, with its area spanning over 3 states, MP, Rajasthan, and UP. The last bastion for some of the most endangered species, especially the Ghariyals that were almost wiped out in the 1970s, this sanctuary is approximately 300 km from Delhi and is a unique river safari and bird watching experience.
