We travelled to the East side of Delhi and realized that the bountiful markets in and around Preet Vihar had a lot to offer. There were so many amazing food options to choose from that we were left utterly whiplashed. But finally we were able to make up our minds and here’s a list of things we tried at the fabulous market of Nirman Vihar. Come, check it out!

1. The Classic Cold Coffee @ The Black Coffee Cafe

Budget-friendly cafe that dishes out yummy eats is how we’ll define this appealing little place. The tiny seating area right outside this open eatery calls for a day out with your friends. We happened to try their Classic Cold Coffee and weren’t disappointed. With the perfect balance of sweetness & bitterness, it hit all the right notes and provided great relief under the scorching sun. That’s exactly how we like our cold coffee, right? Apart from java, these guys also offer delicious nibbles like sandwiches and burgers. So, whenever here, make it a point to check this place out fosho!

2. Stuffed Golgappe @ Bobby Tikki Waala

Situated at the corner of the street, this place a quite popular around here. They offer everything from Chole Bhature and Pav Bhaji to Classic Golgappe & Aloo Tikki. The most ordered item over there is their Stuffed Golgappas. It caught our eye on the menu as well and and boy were we thankful we ordered it! 4 golgappas stuffed with diced potatoes and chole, smothered in dahi, with meethi chutney blanketing the whole plate, making it look absolutely irresistible. You’ve defo got to try this!

3. Cheese And Corn Sandwich @ The Cafe Express

This is a well-decorated cafe which is easy to locate and offers a number of great options on their menu. Cheese and Corn Sandwich was what we ordered and we loved it to bits. A generous layer of cheese with corn kernels spread over a slice of bread and sprinkled with some oregano satisfied all our creamy brunch cravings. They have numerous other items as well, along with some shakes and drinks to fizz up your day. Try them out and you’ll defo thank us!

4. Chilly Garlic Chowmein @ Teens Cafe Fast Food

Not a very fancy garb to show but what’s on the inside is totally worth it. They have everything - chowmein, Chilly Potato, Fried Rice, pasta & momos - all our favourite dishes on a day out. We tasted their Chilly Garlic Chowmein and they were utterly delectable. The quantity served was so satisfying that even our half plate felt like a full one. With just the right balance of spicy and tangy flavours, this snack is worth a try!

5. Pizza Momos @ FC Katyal

Amongst so many options, we decided to go for their Fried Pizza Momos here. The owner claimed to have invented pizza momos and well, we can’t confirm the veracity of it but, they sure were delicious. As we took a bite of these piping hot momos, we just couldn’t detach ourselves from that string of cheese. Stuffed with veggies and corn kernels which were wrapped in a blanket of cheese, this dish was an absolute delight. Order these up and enjoy them over a cosy sesh of gossip with your buds!
