5 Relatable Thoughts Every Couple Has Had On The Delhi Metro
The Delhi Metro is undoubtedly the lifeline of the capital - you can meet or observe people from all walks of life sitting in a metro coach. And love, as they say, can blossom anywhere. Ergo, the frequent sighting of love birds in the metro doesn't come off as a surprise. We decided to step into their shoes for a while and ponder upon some thoughts that might bug the couples who board these trains, and well, they are quite relatable. See for yourself!
1. Privacy Has Left The Chat!

Well, we know that privacy is a myth in today’s digital world, but hey, did we Indians ever get privacy from the prying eyes of our neighbourhood aunties? So, it’s quite natural for couples to have this insecurity regarding even a minimal aspect of physical affection such as holding hands or hugging in public.
2. What’s With The Death Stare, People?

There are so many people around to judge you! The moment you enter the coach in a pair of two, you get conscious under the weight of the dozens of gazes that are prying on you. It feels as if your every action is being judged consistently by watchful eyes. Come on people, give them a break!
3. Why Is It Not Possible To Ever Get Seats Together?

Oh boy, the struggle of getting even a single seat, during rush hours is easier said than done. And dreaming of securing two adjacent seats is no less than an unachievable luxury. But hey, they would rather stand together than sit away from each other. After all, standing has its own perks too - you know what we mean *wink-wink*.
4. How To Steer Away From That Creepy Uncle?

If there's one thing that's omnipresent in the metro apart from the crowd, it's those creepy uncles who never fail to intimidate you through their persistent stares, loud voice while speaking on the phone or by blasting music at full volume. Steering away from them becomes a necessity in such dire situations when you crave for some silent time with your partner.
5. Dammit, Rajiv Chowk!

While the Kumbh Mela may be infamous for its stories of painful separation, we Delhiites are not so unfamiliar with that feeling. No thanks to the infinite swarm of people, the fear of getting separated from their gang amidst the crowd at Rajiv Chowk looms over everyone's head. And, couples are even more vulnerable to this, ain't they? No wonder holding hands becomes necessary in the sea of people at almost every major intersection of the metro.
So, what all thoughts cross your mind while travelling in the metro? Tell us in the comments!
