17 Rly. Stations On Delhi's Ring Road Like Lajpat & Sarojini Nagar May See A Major Facelift

We’ve just got word that 17 out of 21 railway stations on Delhi’s Ring Road MAY just see a sprucing-up and revamp, which is definitely much-needed.

This Is What We Know | A total of 17 stations that are on Delhi’s 35 km Ring Road could see a major revamp if the Railway Board green lights a proposal by the station redevelopment wing of the Indian Railways. The idea is to commercially develop these stations. Impressive!

The onus to redevelop 17 out of 21 stations is on the Indian Railway Station Development Corporation, which will also take up the responsibility of redeveloping 600 railway stations across India. Woah!

You might soon see a completely-revamped station at Lajpat Nagar, Lodhi Colony, Sarojini Nagar, Safdarjung and Chanakyapuri, amongst others. The ring rail, which serves more than 4,000 people, connects with the Delhi Metro at 7 locations, which officials see as a potential for investment.

Let’s keep our fingers crossed!
