15 Brand New Shows and Movies That Are Releasing On Disney+Hotstar This Year!

We just heard that Disney+Hotstar has announced 18 new titles that are slated to release this year and we’re super stoked to share them with you. Take a look!

1. Bhuj: The Pride Of India

The plotline of Bhuj narrates the untold story of Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik and the bravery of 3,000 women of Madhapur in Gujarat during the war in 1971. With actors like Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt, Rana Daggubatti, Norah Fatehi, Ammy Virk and Sonakshi Sinha, in the cast, we’re hopeful that it’s going to be one gripping watch. 

2. Bhoot Police

The next name on this list is a horror-comedy movie that features actors like Saif Ali Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, Yami Gautam and Javed Jaffrey in the lead roles, and we’re defo expecting some great comic scenes! One can be hopeful, right?!

3. The Empire

The Empire is an action-packed period drama that has a popular star cast in the lead roles. It’s based on the Mughal Empire and has talented names like Drashti Dhami, Dino Morea, Shabana Azmi and Kunal Kapoor. From the little teaser of the series, it does look grand!

4. Escaype LIVE

Siddharth Kumar Tewary’s Escaype LIVE is a tech thriller that follows the lives of 5 techies who’re desperately trying to escape the mediocrity of their mundane life. It does sound like a show that we have never heard of, so it’s definitely got our interest! How about yours?

5. Fear 1.0

The next name on the list is a supernatural thriller. It has actors such as Tisca Chopra, Saurabh Shukla, and Rajesh Tailang. Though there’s no other detail about the storyline (at the time of writing the article), we are expecting these folks to surprising us for sure!

6. Human

Starring Shefali Shah and Kirti Kulhari in the series, Human is a medical drama that you’d want to watch if you’re into such shows. 7. Those Pricey Thakur Girls

8. Six Suspects

Six Suspects is a murder mystery that stars actors such as Pratik Gandhi (of Scam 1992 fame), Richa Chadha and Ashutosh Rana. Adapted from Vikas Swarup's 2016 novel of the same name, this Ajay Devgn production will be directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia. 

9. Gharshana

With names like Naveen Chandra, Sarath Kumar, and Jagapathi Babu in the lead role we are waiting with bated breath to watch this series. Gharshana is a crime watch and if you are someone who is fond of this genre then you must give it a watch when it releases.

10. Aarya (Season 2)

This Sushmita Sen series gained quite a fan following with its first season in 2020. And now the family crime drama is set to return to the platform with its second season. From the little teaser, it sure looks as intriguing as the previous one!
