1. Shri Laxmi Narayan Temple (Gole Market)

Shri Laxmi Narayan Temple AKA the Birla Mandir is a Hindu temple dedicated to Laxmi (the goddess of prosperity) and Narayana (The preserver) and is also a major tourist attraction. Built way back in 1939, the temple was inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi and is adorned with many shrines, fountains, and a large garden with Hindu and Nationalistic sculptures!

2. Shree Sidh Shakti Peeth Shanidham (Mehrauli)

Known for containing the world's tallest statue of Lord Shani, Shree Sidh Shakti Peeth Shanidham Mandir is situated on the Chhatarpur Road near Asola. The temple also runs the Shree Shanidham Trust, which is a non-profit, non-governmental social welfare volunteer organization engaged in social welfare activities in different parts of India. Truly a sight to behold, it has over the years become a major attraction for Shani devotees.

3. Yogmaya Temple (Mehrauli)

Touted to be a whopping 5,000 years old, The Yogmaya Temple, also called the Jogmaya temple is dedicated to the Goddess Yogmaya, the sister of Krishna, and is situated in Mehrauli. 
According to some stories in Hindu mythology, she is also worshipped as the mother of all beings and this temple is said to be among one of the few surviving temples from Mahabharat. The temple is also an integral part of an important inter-faith festival  - the annual Phool Walon Ki Sair.

4. Shree Adya Katyayani Shaktipeeth Mandir (Chhatarpur)

Said to be established in 1974, this gorgeous temple is a well-organised Hindu temple that worships the goddess Katyayani, a part of Navadurga, the nine forms of Hindu goddess Durga or Shakti, worshipped during the Navratri celebrations. It is said that before the creation of the Akshardham temple, Shree Adya Katyayani Shaktipeeth Mandir was the largest temple in the world. Spread over a wide area of 70 acres, this temple is also surrounded by the Northern Aravalli leopard wildlife corridor stretching from Sariska Tiger Reserve to Delhi.

5. Baba Nagpal Temple (Chhatarpur)

The Baba Nagpal Temple falls within the same Chhatarpur Complex as the Shree Adya Katyayani Shaktipeeth Mandir. It is a beautiful example of exquisite architecture and with huge sprawling green gardens surrounding the main temple. The entire Chttarpur Complex was first established by Baba Nagpal Ji who became a mendicant and was looked after, taught and trained by Sadhus. He himself designed the entire mandir, right up to the last detail himself!

6. Shri Kalka Ji Temple (Kalkaji)

The Kalka Ji temple dedicated to the Hindu Goddess Kali is located opposite the Nehru Place business centre and close to the Okhla railway station. Regular devotees believe that the image of the Goddess Kalka at the temple was a self-manifestation and that the shrine dates back to Satya Yuga when the Goddess Kalika had incarnated and killed the demon Raktabija along with other giant demons. Some others believe that Goddess Kalika was born at the site where the temple is situated!

7. Swaminarayan Akshardham (Noida Mor)

The largest temple complex in the world, Swaminarayan Akshardham is a Hindu temple and spiritual complex, close to Noida. Officially opened in the presence of the then Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, the beautifully carved walls of the entire complex displays millennia of traditional and modern Hindu culture, spirituality, and architecture. A must visit, do drop by when you’re in the vicinity.

8. Sankat Mochan Hanuman Mandir (Jhandewalan)

This temple is a very prominent part of the city’s skyline with the towering 108 ft. statue of Lord Hanuman visible, making it one of the most striking temples in the city. The temple is open almost every day but it’s most crowded on Tuesdays. The entrance to the temple resembles the open mouth of a Rakshas or a monster, which has been slain and makes for a very interesting entry into the temple!

9. Prachin Bhairav Mandir (Near Old Fort)

Another ancient temple situated in Kalkaji, the temple is also known for its unique tradition of offering alcohol to the Holy deity-Lord Bhairav, unlike the other Hindu Temples where prashad and baskets of dhoop and flowers are offered. With beautiful architecture and flaunting serene interiors, this temple should definitely be on your go-to list!

10. ISKCON Temple (East Of Kailash)

Considered to be a very divine and sanctimonious spot in the city, this is the temple to visit if you want to express your devotion to Lord Krishna. Built in 1998 by a renowned architect - Achyut Kanvinde, the complex houses the temple, a Vedic museum and a restaurant! The entire interiors of the temple are also decked up in scriptures from the Bhagvat Geeta and epic scenes from Mahabharat. The temple is definitely worth a visit!

The Magnificient Lotus Temple is one of the 6 temples or places of worship of the Bahá'í Faith. Built in the shape of a lotus with small ponds surrounding the structure, the temple boasts unparalleled beauty. It is also one of the first temples to make use of solar panels to save on energy. The temple is open to all to visit, regardless of their religion, gender, nationality or any other qualification, thereby professing the unity of mankind that the Bahá'í Faith is known for!

12. Sai Baba Temple (Lodhi Road)

One of the oldest and most prominent temples dedicated to Sri Sai Baba. People come here not only to pay respects and worship but also to meditate, feel peace and serenity and joy. The idol of Sai Baba made from marble is placed in the centre of the prayer hall and this idol can even be seen from the main road, where passersby are seen offering their prayers. So come on over and revel in the peace that this temple exudes!
