12 Best Events Happening In Delhi In July 2019

With the summer vacations ending, its time to get back to the monotonous routine and the same old boring lectures but fret not Delhi walo, we’ve got your July covered with a list of fab and rad events taking place in the city. Check them out and head over!

1. The New Delhi Laughtival (5th - 7th July)

For the last 20 years, The Laughtival has been showcasing some of the longest-running comedies world over. The festival of comic plays will be performed by the renowned Pierrot’s Troupe under the direction of Dr M Sayeed Alam and this time there’ll be 4 plays that y’all can watch - ‘Chacha Chhakkan In Action’, ‘Cut...Cut...Cut’, ‘A Private Affair’ and ‘Ghalib In New Delhi’. Give a hilarious kickstart to the month of July and chuckle with your buds at these funny plays!

2. The Royal Soiree With Nikhil Chinapa (5th July)

Brace yourselves to witness a spectacular musical evening as the uber cool Nikhil Chinapa is coming to town on the 5th of July at Imperfecto Shor. The night will be full of funk, techno and electro beats churned out by DJ Nikhil Chinapa. He is best known as the face of MTV and host of shows like Roadies, Rock On, Splitsvilla and more. We can’t wait to groove to his sick beats and will defo turn up at Imperfecto Shor with our squad to dance the night away!

3. Sparkle Fashion & Lifestyle Expo (5th July)

Start off your July with a shopping spree at Sparkle Fashion & Lifestyle Expo where there will be more than 150 fashion and lifestyle brands offering an assorted collection of haute couture including designer apparels, accessories, footwear, jewellery, home décor items, potteries and much more. 4. Taur Showcase 2.0 (6th July)

Would you like to dance along to some peppy bhangra beats? There’s a super fun, high-energy Bhangra showcase where various troupes are gonna be performing to some killer Punjabi music. You can witness some of the best performances and have a mind-blowing time with your fam or squad. The event is on the 6th of July at Arya Auditorium so strap on your dancing shoes and make sure you book your tickets ASAP!

5. Ice Cream Social 3.0 (6th & 7th July)

There’s no such thing as too much ice cream and that’s why DLF Promenade is having a fab fiesta called the Ice Cream Social 3.0. This 3rd edition of this carnival will have stuffed fruit kulfis, adorable paw and smiley-shaped ice creams and much more from fabulous brands like Twisting Scoops, WAFL, Icekraft, Kuremal Mohanlal Kulfiwale, Emoi, Cold Love, Mrs Bector’s Cremica, Crunch House and Dr Bubbles, to name just a choice few. So call up your BFFs and head over for a yummy time!

6. Rajat Chauhan Live (8th July)

The super funny Rajat Chauhan is coming to make you laugh till your tummies hurt. A regular at Canvas Laugh Club, he’s a well-known fellow in the comedy scene for 5 years. He’s gonna be at Green House -The Beer Garden on Monday, the 8th of July and we can’t wait to see him perform his jokes on life and everything in between. Go ahead and book your tix for a hilarious time!

7. Mandala Art Workshop (14th July)

Have you ever wanted to draw pretty mandalas but didn’t know where to begin. You can start by attending this informative workshop that’ll teach you the basics of mandala drawing. Mandalas are recognised as meaningful representations of their creators and have a long history and representation of wholeness. Some people also believe they are deeply therapeutic and get rid of anxiety and stress. The workshop is designed to help you learn the methods of colour therapy to create perfect mandalas under the guidance of a professional artist. So bring your friends along for an artful evening!

8. Delhi Football League Season 4 (20th July)

The Delhi Football League is back with its 4th season and this time the prize is bigger and better! There’ll be an exciting 5 a side, 2-day football tournament comprising of Group and Knockout stages. The tournament is open for all with each match of 25 minutes of duration.

The winners will get a prize of Rs 15,000 and the runners-up will be awarded Rs 7,000. Each team has to play a minimum of 2 games and individual medals will be given to the winners. There are 2 categories for teams - an under 17 one and a no age bar one. So get lacing and head over!

9. Vivid Shuffle Regional Round (20th July)

The Vivid Shuffle is back for the third year and the regional round in Delhi is calling all the poppers and lockers for a chance to win the ultimate title. The regional round is on July 20th and it could be your stepping stone on the way to the grand finale on September 21 in Mumbai. There’ll be 2 rounds - Cypher for 45 seconds and then the top 16 will battle it out 1-on-1. So if you wanna be the best popper in India, get practising and best of luck!

10. Mahabharata - The Epic Tale (27th & 28th July)

Watch the epic tale come to life in front of your eyes as ace actors like Puneet Issar, Gufi Paintal, Meghna Malik, Surendra Pal and more will be gracing the stage with their stellar performances and bringing the mythological saga to you! The play is written and directed by Puneet Issar and presents that point of view of Duryodhan and Karan highlighting the causes that led to the annihilating war. Watch the grand theatric tale of good versus evil!

11. The Handmade Collective - Delhi Edition (30th & 31st July)
