100 New AC Low-Floor Buses With GPS Trackers, Hydraulic Lifts Were Flagged Off In Delhi

On Friday, The Delhi Government flagged off 100 new low-floor AC buses after a long wait of 10 years and these ones are equipped with all the latest technology. Take a look at what’s new in these buses and what makes them special.

Smoother Public Transport Ahead! | The buses are equipped with state-of-the-art features like fire detection system, remote monitoring systems, GPS trackers, panic buttons, hydraulic lifts and wheelchair ramps. The 37-seat buses have 14 panic buttons with 7 on each side and for better security measures, the buses are equipped with CCTV cameras as well. Also, for women, there will be pink seats which can be easily identifiable.

For the time being, the buses will be would be plying on 16 routes originating or terminating at Sarai Kale Khan ISBT, Shivaji Stadium, Ajmeri Gate, Shahdara terminal, Karampura Terminal, Najafgarh, New Seemapuri, Uttam Nagar, Kendriya Terminal, Sultanpuri, Mehrauli, Mayur Vihar, and Nizamuddin. 

The government is planning to deploy 9,000 more buses within the next year, so you can expect smoother public transport in the coming days.
