Go Experience Coorg's Most Scenic & Royal Views From The *Raja's Seat*

While trying to cover all that's worthwhile in this lovely little summer escape, it’s easy to forget to take a moment to admire the charm of Coorg. Rightly been tagged “The Scotland of India”, Coorg has some delightful spots for you to wonder in awe at the sublime beauty of its gorgeous green hills and valleys!

Madikeri is home to one such scenic vantage point which over the years has assumed a considerable amount of importance as a tourist attraction. Raja’s Seat is situated amidst the former royal gardens that bursts into bloom with a myriad seasonal flowers. The simple concrete structure i.e the “seat” provides a view fit for a king or queen, of clouds rolling up the gently sloped hills and a most breathtaking sunrise/sunset!

The musical fountain and the toy train are newer attractions that have been installed for the visitors’ entertainment. So you could plan an early morning walk/jog or meditate and indulge in some self-reflection right here. Taking a stroll within the gardens on a cool evening is a great way to end the day!
