5. Baratang Island

Most popular for its trek trails, Baratang houses famous limestone caves. It can be explored only under proper guidance from the locals and permission from the Forest Department is mandatory. 6. Barren Island

Barren Island plays host to the only active volcano in the country and is located in the Andaman Sea. This place is only meant for day visits, for a seaplane ride around the island to marvel at South Asia’s only active volcano! A dangerous terrain otherwise, the only way you can access the island is by a helicopter ride or a seaplane ride. Sounds good to us!
