Relive History & Pay Tribute To The Martyrs And Unsung Heroes @ Jallianwala Bagh

Infamously known for the 1919 massacre, a tragic event in Indian history, The Jallianwala Bagh has an eerie silence that reminds us of the events of the past. 

The garden houses a memorial built in honour of the massacred victims and the portion of the wall with bullet marks along with an old well, is preserved as a memorial. 

A light and sound show is hosted here every evening. The act, narrated using actor Amitabh Bachchan’s voice recreates the events of 1919 that took place at Jallianwala Bagh and is quite a stirring experience. Relive the horrific day to remind yourself of the hard-earned freedom and experience a dash of gratitude to the martyrs. Other significant attractions include the Amar Jyoti and the historical well. 

There is lush greenery in this park with a number of flowering plants as well. The garden is located in the vicinity of the Golden Temple complex, which allows you to plan a visit to both these historic places on the same day.
