Kashi Vishwanath Temple Is Considered Varanasi's Very Own Golden Temple So Give It A Visit!

One of the most famous Hindu temples that's dedicated to Lord Shiva, this house of a worship is a must visit!

The majestic domes of this temple are plastered with gold which was donated by Maharaja Ranjit Singh of Punjab in the 18th century. The doors of the temple open at 3 AM daily but that does not stop pilgrims from forming large queues long before!

Getting entry into this temple is definitely not a piece of cake. First, you have to cross a narrow alley where you'll be met by innumerable hawkers who will badger you to buy flowers and all sorts of Puja related items. Many priests will also tell you that they can directly take you inside the temple but everything comes with a price so, don’t forget to ask their fee before accompanying them.

Ghettoized streets, smarmy hawkers, and never ending queues are not everyone’s cup of tea but the Kashi Vishwanath temple symbolizes everything that Varanasi stands for! So, if you're a Shiva devotee then you must visit this temple.
