1.Zero Bridge
Srinagar is the city of 8 bridges, Zero Bridge being one of the oldest ones. While most people hover around the Dal Lake, Jhelum is no less beautiful! Road traffic is not allowed so a leisurely evening stroll would be a great idea. It's near the Old City area so Zero Bridge literally becomes your portkey to the past!

2. Emporium Garden
The Government Emporium on Residency Road is a treasure trove for buying Kashmiri artifacts. From Namdas to Kangris and shawls, they have a great variety and some beautiful designs. However, the Emporium Garden cannot be ignored. The entire complex is filled with tall deodar and chestnut trees, and colourful flowers decorate the garden area. Visit this beautiful spot.

3. Sri Pratap Museum
They showcase a map of Srinagar created entirely with needlework; isn’t that cool? Sri Pratap Museum has an amazing collection of textiles dating back to, approximately, the 16th century. It was once the summer palace of Kashmir’s Maharajas but now holds relics reminiscent of a bygone era. Vintage items like old miniature paintings, musical instruments, weapons and manuscripts are also on display here!

4. Pathar Masjid
Apart from the Hazratbal Mosque, Srinagar has several ancient mosques in different nooks and crannies of the city. Patthar Masjid was built by Noor Jehan and exudes a vibe of antiquity and solemnity. It may not be as opulent as Jami Masjid or Hazratbal but it’s definitely worth a visit for its beautiful gardens and peaceful environment. It now falls under Old Srinagar.

5. Kabootar Khana
Locally pronounced as ‘Kotar Khana’, it used to be the royal summer palace for the maharajas. A causeway from Boulevard Road leads up to Kabootar Khana which is surrounded by the glistening Dal Lake. The view from this place is brilliant. Away from the touristy din of the city, you can enjoy a peaceful sunrise or sunset here.
