You May Be Able To Zip From Delhi-Mumbai In Just 12 Hours Via This New Fast Train

We know that Train 18 was flagged off by PM Narendra Modi in February on the Delhi-Varanasi route. But, from what we just heard, a number of these awesome trains will also be introduced on this other busy routes as well!

Delhi-Mumbai In JUST 12 Hrs.? | The Indian Railways has been planning to introduce Train 18 models on multiple circuits after the success of Vande Bharat Express on Delhi-Varanasi route. Word is that they’re planning to introduce a modified Train 18 on the Mumbai-Delhi course with a bunch of safety features and after an interior & exterior revamp - nice! This is good news, folks, ‘cause it might axe the travel time between the 2 cities to just 12 hours.

The Indian Railways officials are still assessing if they’ll install sleepers in this one or not, but they’ve made changes to the chairs so that they can tilt back better and have also modified the trays that hold food and drinks! Surpassing the amenities of Duronto, Shatabdi and Rajdhani trains, this one comes equipped with WiFi facility, bio-vacuum toilets, GPS-enabled compartments and automatic doors - cool.

Did you know that the 2nd model of the Train 18 will possibly be completed and wheeled out of Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai within this week? Yep. Let’s hope it passes the required tests and becomes operational soon!
