We Hear That Delhi's Iconic Hotel Janpath Is Shutting Down And Will Be Used For Govt. Offices

There’s some bad news for Delhiites, the iconic Hotel Janpath’s property will soon be transferred to the Ministry Of Urban Development and thus the hotel will get converted into an office space most likely! Oh shucks! 

The Committee Of Economic Affairs, headed by PM Narendra Modi is the one who decided to take away the property from Hotel Janpath! They've said that this space will be utilised to construct government offices, similar purposes which would save government funds spent in hiring of government offices. 

The building of Hotel Janpath has to undergo major rehabilitation work since the building structure has been found to be unserviceable. It is in a distressed condition and deficit in the context of seismic requirements, according to the inspection report of IIT Roorkee! 

Bye bye Hotel Janpath!
