Upcoming Hazrat Nizamuddin MS To Bring Rly. Station & Sarai Kale Khan Closer By Nov.
Delhi Metro has given us several reasons to cheer, but what we’re about to tell you is the best of all and we could not be happier! Wanna know what’s up? Read on and we’re sure you’ll be as happy as we are right now!
Delhi Metro FINALLY Reaches Nizamuddin! | So here’s the good news for y’all - our good old Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station is finally gonna have metro connectivity and this is awesome! The Hazrat Nizamuddin Metro Station is gonna be on the Lajpat Nagar - Mayur Vihar section of Delhi Metro’s Pink Line which will be thrown open by November.
And once this section of the Pink Line is finally up and running, connectivity between Hazrat Nizamuddin and Sarai Kale Khan ISBT is gonna be a cakewalk! Sarai Kale Khan is also gonna be the meeting point of three corridors of Rapid Rail that’ll connect Delhi to Meerut, Panipat and Alwar by 2024.
Hazrat Nizamuddin is the third busiest railway station in Delhi and the new metro station will have entry and exit points at 50 metres from ISBT and 150 metres from the railway station. The Indraprastha Park and upcoming Seven Wonders Park will be at a walking distance from the metro station.
There’s gonna be a lot of landscaping and beautification around the metro station and pedestrian crossings will be added on the roads. Also, look out for over 30 artwork pieces that describe the history of nearby areas like Old Delhi at the station. Woah! Pretty decoration items like ‘jharokhas’ have also been used to beautify the area! Drop-off bays will also be also be available for cars, auto rickshaws and more.
We’re so thankful to DMRC and we hope the surprises never stop pouring in!
