Travel Time Between Delhi & Dehradun To Cut Drastically From 6 To 2.5 Hours Soon!
Hola peeps! Today, we’re here with a piece of great news for y’all that involves all your travel woes from Delhi to Dehradun being solved. Yep, you read that right! We just heard the news that a new economic corridor between the two cities has cut down travel time between them dramatically. Eager to know more about it? Read on!
Let’s Vroom To Dehradun! | PM Narendra Modi on Saturday laid the foundation stone for the Delhi-Dehradun Economic Corridor in Dehradun which is likely to reduce the travel time between the 2 cities drastically, almost from 6 hours to a mere 2.5 hours. It will have 7 major interchanges for connectivity to Haridwar, Muzaffarnagar, Shamli, Yamunanagar, Baghpat, Meerut and Baraut.
The economic corridor that is to be built at a cost of about Rs 8,300 crore will have Asia’s largest wildlife elevated corridor (12 km) for unrestricted wildlife movement. It’s gonna be a very environment-friendly corridor because it will have arrangements for rainwater harvesting at intervals of 500m and over 400 water recharge points, and will also have multiple animal passes for avoiding animal-vehicle collisions. *Nice*
This corridor was one of the many projects inaugurated & founded on Saturday which were worth around Rs 18,000 crore. We’re excited ‘cause reaching Dehradun & also Haridwar is gonna become MUCH easier! What do you think?
