9 Places To Enjoy Nihari, Mohabbat Ka Sharbat & More In Old Delhi In This Blessed Month Of Ramadan!
The month of Ramadan is all about excitement and joy - the joy of giving, caring about others, praying, strengthening your willpower and the joy of dedication. There are plenty of reasons which keep you on your toes the whole month despite not having even a drop of water in the daytime for 30 days. Although you can have food anytime between dusk to dawn during Ramadan, there are two special fixed hours - one to break your fast and the other to begin your fast. So here we've meticulously culled out a list of dishes and places in Old Delhi to break your fast with! Read on.
1. Chicken Biryani @ Dil Pasand Biryani Point

Mohd Tofiq wouldn't ever have, in his dreams, thought he’d become this famous when he started with only Bade Ki Biryani, but this small shop tucked away deep in the bylanes of Chitli Qabar is enough to demand respect for us to include it in a list of Delhi’s finest. Huge boneless chicken pieces, pickled rice, their special raita and lots of onion garnishing is what made us his fans for life!

2. Nihari @ Kallu Nihari

Operating from a small shop that couldn’t house more than five people at once, this guy starts selling at 5 PM and people have complained that the goods get polished off within the hour, only to see pots and pans being washed after a day’s sale by 6 PM (that too if you’re lucky!). The red colour on Kallu’s Nihari, the huge chunks of meat, the zesty spices and the garnishing of green chillies and ginger are enough to label this place as legendary!

For some delicious chicken and fish, you've got to visit this hidden gem. We personally tried the Chicken Tikka and OH MY GOD it was to die for! The secret ingredient here is that it was cooked in butter and not oil, so the saltiness of the butter blended perfectly with the delicious and meaty chicken makes it totally unique, not to mention mouth wateringly good!
