A Hidden Gem In Mehrauli | Have you heard about this gorgeous heritage site called Gandhak Ki Baoli that was built by Sultan Iltutmish? It’s basically a five-tiered step well built of sandstone. Legend has it that the water in the baoli used to smell like sulphur or gandhak - hence the name.
The baoli is located at one edge of the Mehrauli Archaeological Park, so it shouldn’t be too difficult to locate. It continues to be one of the largest baolis seen in Delhi and its intricate detailing and architecture make for truly beautiful Insta-worthy pictures!
