It could be pretty annoying having to wait in a long queue to get your Aadhaar Card updated, right? So imagine our relief when heard that the Unique Identification Authority Of India plans to set up 114 such centres by the end of 2019 and they have already set up their first one over HERE in the city!
114 Adhaar Seva Kendra To Come Up By 2019 End | The UIDAI has set up the first Aadhaar Seva Kendra in Delhi on a pilot basis and we totes commend this move! These centres will help in facilitating enrolment & updation, amongst other activities, and will be owned by the UIDAI itself. The centre in saadi Dilli is located inside the Akshardham Metro Station with 16 workstations that can handle 1,000 requests in a day - now that’s impressive!
Plus, they’ll be operational 6 days a week with only Tuesdays and public holidays being closed. What’s more is that the UIDAI plans to set up 114 such centres by the end of the year covering 53 cities which is brilliant!
These ASKs boast of a lot more capacity to handle requests & updation as compared to the other centres run by banks, post offices and in government buildings. Moreover, they let people book their appointments over the internet through their online appointment management system!
Sounds like a piece of good news to us!
