The Popular Daryaganj Sunday Book Market Has Finally Re-Opened After 5 Whole Weeks

The Daryaganj Book Market, the one main go-to spot for every book lover had been shut for the past 5 weeks and has finally opened again! After various space permission issues raised by NDMC, the market has now been allowed to reopen, but they’ve only got permission to have a set up between the stretch that goes from Golcha Market to Delight Cinema.

Welcome Back! | The civic body has not allow any shops on the Daryaganj over-bridge due to which more than 50 people are not allowed to set up their makeshift shops. The market, which originally used to be more than 2 kms long, on its reopening day, i.e. last Sunday, was functioning in around only a 1 km area, which will be the scenario for the foreseeable future.

The shop vendors are heartbroken and some of them are scared that they won't be able to support their families homes anymore because they can no longer set up their shops! Looks like this whole sealing drive has been taken to another level and now the roadside shops are also getting affected by the same!

Hoping things get better soon!
