The Landmark, Beautiful Stretch of Race Course Road Now Renamed Lok Kalyan Marg

One of the most beautiful roads in the city, the Race Course Road just got renamed as Lok Kalyan Marg! So now, PM Modi’s iconic address 7 Race Course Road will become 7 Lok Kalyan Marg. 

The Race Course Road was named after the Delhi Race Course part of the Delhi Race Club in 1940. But the ministers of the city felt that ‘Race Course’ does not match with Indian culture at all, which precipitated the change in the name. AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal wanted to name the road after a Sikh martyr, but the masses did not agree with this.

Hence came Lok Kalyan Marg!
