The Govt. Plans To Decongest The Super-Busy Dhaula Kuan-IGI Airport Stretch & More By 2019

This Is A Representative Image

Delhizens, looks like there are a lot of plans up the government’s sleeves in order to decongest Delhi and Gurgaon. The Transport Ministry has announced 2 new projects to decongest the stretch between Dhaula Kuan and IGI Airport. Take a look!

Here’s All You Need To Know | Hopefully soon, you’ll see some relief at the bottleneck at the junction of NH8 in front of the Dhaula Kuan Metro Station. The junction will become signal free and the authorities will construct a flyover for the traffic moving from Gurgaon to Delhi by October. Also, 2 overhead bridges with escalators will also be constructed for seamless travel by pedestrians. Great!

And, there’s more! The government has also planned the upgradation of NH 248A from Rajiv Chowk to Sohna Road. Currently, it’s a real struggle to navigate this stretch on account of the heavily congested Sohna Road. But looks like we’ll have a solution to that. Phew!

The ministry has also thought of shifting the Kherki Daula toll plaza by 8 kms from its current location at the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway. And how is this beneficial to us, you ask? The toll has off late become a bottleneck, slowing down traffic and creating massive traffic snarls. So basically, once it’s shifted, there will be a considerable reduction in terms of traffic hold-ups.

The government has really managed to impress us with this slew of projects. Hoping for quick completion and some relief to all us commuters!
