We Delhiites love to take road trips to nearby places, and one such location is Kullu. However, it's not very nearby and the travel time can often last almost half a day. But this new highway project may reduce the travel time to just 7 hours and so, we're here with all the information you need to know about this development!
Kullu Ab Door Nahi! | Recently, the Union Minister For Road Transport And Highways, Nitin Gadkari, inaugurated the foundation stones for a massive highway project virtually, in Manali. The total route is 222-km long and it is a 9-road corridor that will make your road trip to Himachal all the more smooth. He promised that travelling from Delhi to Kullu will be reduced to just 7 hours in the coming 2 years or maybe even before.
The foundation stones were laid for a number of projects like the 4-lane Kangra Bypass to Bhangbar section of NH-88, Kiratpur to Nerchowk on section NH-21 besides expansion of Paonta Sahib to Hewna section of NH-707 and Ashyri to Sri Kyari section amongst many more. The aim of the project is to strengthen the network to Himachal Pradesh. Did you know that right now it takes anywhere between 12 to 13 hours to travel to Kullu?
Yep, and we can't wait for this project to be completed soon!
