MediaTek’s Technology Diaries @ The Electric Room Was A Cool & Insightful Experience

Technology is so deeply entrenched in our daily lives that it has become something that we must keep ourselves updated and in tune with! That’s why MediaTek held their inaugural MediaTek Technology Diaries series at The Electric Room at The Lodhi on the 31st of August that aimed to make technology easier to understand and more accessible to everyone. This interactive and informative series was basically created to break down complicated new technologies’ know-how into simpler terms that even common folks can fathom easily, which, if you ask us, is quite commendable and much-needed!   

What Is MediaTek?

Before diving into details about this wonderful talk that happened recently, let’s brief you all a little about these guys. MediaTek is touted to be the world’s 4th largest global fabless semiconductor company that powers more than 1.5 billion devices a year and the Technology Diaries is their interactive discussion series that kickstarted in Delhi. These guys called in popular RJ Naved to give a common man’s insight and perspective on future technologies.

He demystified complex and hard to understand concepts in his unique and humorous way. And since no one understands how hard technical jargon can be for a layman, the lovelies at MediaTek took it upon themselves to make us more aware and smarter! 

What Happened At MediaTek’s Technology Diaries

The main philosophy and aim of MediaTek’s Technology Diaries was to allow consumers and businesses to understand the upcoming and current products of MediaTek. They tried to make technologies like AI, 5G and NB-IoT, that are being used in MediaTek’s products, easier to grasp for the consumers. These guys also showed us how they’re working to empower industries with innovative Bluetooth and cellular connectivity solutions to meet the needs of the government, utility, retail, agriculture, transportation, asset tracking sectors and many others.

How Embedded MediaTek Is In Our Daily Lives

So, this came as a surprise to all of us as well, but did you know that 20% of homes globally and 1 out of every 3 mobile phones are actually powered by MediaTek? Pretty cool, right? The chips manufactured by this company run smartphones, tablets, TVs, voice assistants and other technological tools. The basic objective of this event was to make people like us more comfortable with these technologies and use them to our advantage!  

They’re also working towards changing how people interact with their home appliances by fueling a revolution in home entertainment products through processors and chips that work in smart TVs and audio devices as well.  

And that’s not where these guys stop, they’re also heading into the automotive sector and working towards self-driving technology through turnkey solutions of hardware and software. Doesn’t it just get cooler and cooler?!  

 It truly was one amazing event that we can’t wait to experience again!
