Last-Mile Connectivity Goes Pollution FREE As DMRC Ties Up With Bike-Sharing App

Our city has been battling air pollution for the longest time, haven't we? So, in order to reduce the strain on Delhi’s air quality, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is doing THIS and we can’t applaud them enough for it.

Zoom Away For A Cleaner City | The DMRC has decided to collaborate with Yulu which is a bike-sharing company and have started services on 9 metro stations on Yellow and Blue Line. These were launched on Monday,  2nd September between INA and JLN Stadium. The motive behind this collaboration is to provide pollution FREE last-mile connectivity.

The plan is to put 5,000 electric non-motorised vehicles which are known as YULU Miracles at the stations by the end of this year and to extend the same across all the stations with 25,000 such vehicles by early 2020. This means you won’t have to wait for E-rickshaws or argue with auto wallahs anymore!

Presently, the operations run in the city of Bengaluru, Pune, Bhubaneshwar and Mumbai. What do you think about this initiative?
