Ingka Group, A Sister Company Of The Swedish Giant IKEA Is Setting Up A Retail & Office Space In GGN

It feels like, for eternity, we’ve been waiting for the world-famous IKEA to open its doors in NCR. Well, the word on the street is that Ingka Centres, part of the Ingka Group (which also includes IKEA Retail and Ingka Investments) has started the building work in Gurgaon that should be ready by 2025, and we’re super eager. A Ravishing New Office Space, IKEA Style | Ingka Centres, a sister organisation of home furnishing retailer IKEA plans to invest over Rs 7,300 crore in two of its retail and office spaces in Gurgaon and Noida. In short, that means that like IKEA, Ingka group will also open its first centre in Gurgaon by 2025. The new IKEA anchored ‘meeting place,’ as Ingka Centres like to call it, would be spread over a 1.7 million sq. ft. area and would be built with an investment of Rs 3,500 crore. 

The centre will have a mix of food, beverage and edutainment learning spaces, alongside a wide retail offer anchored by IKEA, along with a combination of global and local brands. The centre will also have an office space spread across 3,20,000 sq ft sitting atop the retail space. Another such centre is being planned in Noida and its construction will be announced in the next 6 months.

Well, we’re certainly excited to see how this turns out. The pressure is certainly gonna fall off DLF Cyber City and Cyberhub to be the coolest work/entertainment hotspot in G-City! What do you think?
