IKEA Is Finally Making Its Way To NCR And We Can’t Wait To Upgrade Our Homes!

If y’all have also been eagerly waiting to get your hands on the exquisite pieces of furniture from IKEA, then let us tell you that the end of your wait might be nearer than you first expected! The Swedish furniture giant that has become synonymous with affordable, chic and ready-to-assemble furniture, is planning to open, not one store, but a full-on giant shopping mall in Noida - the first that India has ever seen. Here are all the deets! 

Newbie Alert! | The Swedish multinational corporation behind IKEA had opened its first-ever store back in 2018, in Hyderabad, followed by one in Mumbai in 2020, but this time they’re looking to upgrade to an entire shopping centre and we’re jumping with joy. 

Ingka Centres, owned by Ingka Group who also owns most of the IKEA stores worldwide is said to have bought around 48,000-square-metre plot on the outskirts of Delhi, in Noida, for this very project and intent to invest nearly Rs 5,500 crore (759 million Dollars) in its development in the future. 

We already can’t wait to explore the huge shopping mall and buy all the funky furniture, we’ve been wanting to adorn our homes with!
