Here's Why East Delhi May End Up Paying More for Watching a Movie!
We hate to break it to you guys but people living in East Delhi are going to face some tax hikes in the coming financial year.
Looking to increase their revenues, the East Delhi Municipal Corporation has decided to raise the rates of Show Tax charged from movie theatres which will of course be conveniently passed onto us.
The amount which used to be Rs 10 for every movie is now being raised to 5% of the total tickets sold by the theatres!
The Chairman of the Standing Committee has stated that they’re taking this step to come out of the financial crunch they’re currently facing and that it’ll be a minimal hike and shouldn’t affect us much. Well, we’ll just wait and see about that!
