Happy To Tell Y'all That Delhi’s Airport Express Line Has Made A Comeback And How!
The airport express line of the Delhi Metro was in a dire condition ever since the DMRC took over the orange line in June 2013, post which a lot of issues happened but it’s finally made a new and improved comeback!
The line remained shut for 6 months and only 9,000 people per day used to travel from the same post that and the speed also reduced down which further led to the time taken also increasing but finally the DMRC brought it back with a ridership of 50,000 since August 2016!
The DMRC made certain changes like revising fair prices wherein the minimum price went from Rs 30 to Rs 10 and the maximum from Rs 180 to Rs 60! Now that’s a major drop! Not only this they’ve also introduced a bunch of passenger friendly facilities in order to help the ridership increase for the airport line!
To increase the number of airport-bound passengers, DMRC had also written a letter to the aviation ministry asking them to either shift the low-cost airlines from terminal 1D to Terminal 3 or provide connectivity to transport check-in baggage from Aerocity Metro Station to Terminal 1D.
The metro is simply helping soothe our lives, and now it’s time to take it to the airport too.
Sounds awesome to us!
