G-Town Introduces City's First Tree Ambulance To Take Care Of The Local Greenery!
We regularly hear about the need to save trees, right? But how often do we actually take steps towards this? Well, from what we just heard, Gurugram is definitely taking concrete strides in this direction!
Trees Ambulance To The Rescue | A city-based NGO recently launched a tree ambulance for the first time which will operate 6 days a week, out of which 5-days will involve fieldwork and 1 day will be for visiting RWAs. It will tend to trees and saplings within the city limits apart from undertaking outreach exercises.
This ambulance will be fitted with water tanks for sprinkling organic detergent on trees to get rid of dust and organic pesticides in the other tank will be used to fight termites. Plus, the team will supply fertilisers and conduct routine trimming on saplings as well.
It kicked off on 30th June at Bakhtawar Chowk and will cover all the main roads in the city. Moreover, the residents can contact the ambulance for assistance with procurement of saplings and local greenery by contacting the ambulance via a helpline number.
Now, that’s what we call a headstart towards caring for the environment!
