Post PM Narendra Modi’s decision about declaring Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes as illegal tender, the entire country has been striving to go cashless. From autos to vegetable thelas, Uber rides, shopping to petrol, everything has gone cashless and shifted to e-wallets like Paytm or plastic money. And so DU’s revered college SRCC thought why should they get left behind, and hence here they are, cashless from one end to the other!
Transactions ranging from fee submissions to other miscellaneous payments, all the various cash transactions in this top college have been made cashless now. The college claims to be the first institute in the national capital to make such a move!
The college canteen, photocopy shop and the cooperative store have all been prepped about the same and are all set to follow this step. The student interns from the cell are explaining their fellow college-goers about the five possible ways of cashless transactions and are ensuring that all vendors are equipped with the required resources and training for the same. Awesome!
They’re accepting various cashless procedures like SBI Buddy (e-wallet by SBI), Paytm, BHIM (unified app by Indian government), Aadhaar Enabled Payment System (AEPS) and USSD Banking Service!
Let’s see how this works out for SRCC!
