Did You Know Shaheen Bagh, Jasola Vihar & Other Metro Stations Will Get E-Rick Services This March?

Are you someone who frequently travels by the Delhi Metro? Well, if you do, then you must surely understand the struggle of the first mile and last-mile connectivity. And this recent development might just make things easier for you.

Connectivity On Point | ETO Motors, which is an operator of electric vehicles, recently announced that it’s going to commence e-rickshaw as first mile and last mile mobility services. ETO had received an Expression Of Interest by the DMRC and so, it’s now ready to commence these services by March 20, 2020. The company was allowed to start operations at Sukhdev Vihar, Jamia Milia Islamia, Yamuna Bank and Jasola Vihar Shaheen Bagh metro stations in the city.

There will be a designated space for parking of the e-ricks where there will also be battery charging points which will help in the movement of the commuters. This move will not just save the travel expenses of the passengers but will also be providing services to approximately 25,000 travellers. The drivers of these e-rickshaws will have to wear name badges, uniform and a valid ID Card. Plus, they’ll also be expected to keep driving license and PSV badges.

So, what’s your take on this move?!
