Delhi Opens Its Borders Along With Malls, Eateries While Banquets & More Remain Closed


The first phase of the Unlock 1.0 began on Monday, the 8th of June and so, the Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal made a few announcements on Sunday which you guys should know about. So, let’s dive into the details.

Dilli: Now (Almost) Open | The Delhi Government on Sunday announced that hotels and banquets will remain closed in the city for the time being. As restaurants, malls and places of worship open on Monday, the government will think about opening the halls later. Plus, it was also announced that borders will be opened, but for now, Delhi hospitals will only be treating COVID-19 patients from the national capital. 

This comes in after it’s expected that the cases will rise given the borders are now open and hence the requirement for beds will also rise in the city. Senior citizens have been urged to be cautious and to keep their interactions as low as possible. While people have been asked to maintain social distancing norms as relaxations do not mean COVID-19 pandemic is over.
