Delhi Might Soon See Lush Mangrove Forests & Lagoons Come Up Near This Popular Bridge

This Is A Representative Image

Life in Delhi is chaotic. The long traffic snarls, maddening rush in the mornings, caffeine-filled days and meetings all day long; geez, we understand how tiring it is! Imagine unwinding right next to a lagoon after a stressful day at work, sounds impossible, doesn’t it? Well, this could soon be a reality, and we’re not kidding! Read on to find more about this happy news.

A Serene Wetland Right In The Middle Of Chaos | A wetland recreational park is soon coming to the Capital and we’re super excited! Interconnected water bodies, moving streams and fountains will be created in the recreational park, next to a wetland treatment park in Timarpur. The central lagoon will be spread over a vast area of 6 acres, while the remaining land will have special features like music amphitheatre, literature cafe and a series of interconnected fountains and lagoons.

The city’s first “Lazy River”, a shallow pool that flows with slow current, will also be featured in this park. This recreational park will also feature a special space for senior citizens and children and will take about 18 months to be completed. One of the best things about this project is that it’ll also ease the recharge of groundwater.

The revamp of the oxidation ponds have already begun, and we can only hope for a magnificent wetland where we can spend some quality time with our loved ones soon!
