CCTV & GPS-Enabled E-Rickshaws Near NCR Metro Stations To Ensure Women's Safety

Keeping women’s safety in mind, DMRC has introduced more E-Rickshaws near NCR metro stations in order to provide safe last mile connectivity. Unlike the common e-rickshaws, these battery-operated vehicles are GPS-enabled and have CCTVs installed. Also, these are better designed with covered cabins and a full windscreen. Awesome! 

Delhi Metro connects the capital to satellite towns such as Noida, Gurgaon, Ghaziabad, Faridabad and other areas of outer Delhi. In these areas, lack of other means of public transport, during the late evenings, leads to a struggle to get home from the metro! 

The newly-designed e-rickshaws will ply from these stations covering a distance of 3-4 kms to the nearby residential colonies. DMRC has tied up with a service provider who will provide 600 e-rickshaws to them for this purpose. Sounds great to us!
