AIIMS Just Got A Lot Of New Facilities & It Will Reduce The Waiting Time For Patients!

AIIMS was opened more than 50 years ago, and it is one of the biggest healthcare providers not only in the city but in the country as well. It is all set for a big infrastructure development that’ll make the treatment and process a whole lot easier!

For The Betterment | The Raj Kumari Amrit Kaur OPD, that’s located on the main campus, will be shifted to the new building at Masjid Moth, which is located about half km from the main campus. Some of the facilities at the new 8-storeyed OPD building are 270 rooms for consultation, registration counters for specially-abled, automated labs to handle over 2 lakhs tests per day, female-only registration counters, a dedicated waiting area for each department and 9 separate lifts for patients.

The Endocrinology, Orthopedics will start from February 10 and the core lab will be opened in the second phase. This development will help decongest the main campus and ensure a smoother process for the patients. This new building will also house the mother-and-child & the surgical blocks.
