There is no such thing as enough types of momos for a true Delhi Walla! With the demand of different and unique momos on the rise for a long time now, it seems the streets of Delhi never fail to amaze us with the sweeping number of selections they have to offer. The latest entry to this fad is this momo joint in Janakpuri known as Kingdom of Momos. This momo joint serves over 70 kinds of momos and we just can’t keep calm! True to its name, it literally hosts an entire kingdom size variety of momos from basic steamed or fried to unique ones like Achari, Afghani, Creamy Afghani and Pan Fried.

Parked at Choti Sabzi Mandi, this newly opened joint is already attracting a lot of eyeballs for the cornucopia of momos available on their menu. The place has outdoor seating that overlooks the live tandoor station and kitchen. Kingdom Of Momos AKA KOM has deftly managed to present the authentic taste of momos while preserving the Indian flavor.

1. Afghani Chilli Paneer Momos

Served with mint sauce, these Chilli Paneer Momos prepared in an Afghani style over tandoor were as delicious as they looked. With minced paneer and sliced onions and green chillies stuffed inside them and garnished with mint, these will melt in your mouth as soon as you take the first bite! The creamy sauce in which it they’re prepared is so soft and rich it enhances the smoky flavour of the tandoor. For the vegetarians out there, this is the tandoori item you cannot afford to miss!

2. Veg Pizza Momos

Pizza + momos = instant love! Pizza lovers, sit tight. Since the very beginning we were eagerly waiting to try their pizza momos, and the wait was so worth it! Stuffed with corn, capsicum, onions and mozzarella cheese, the filling tasted damn good. They have tried their hardest to preserve the quintessential pizza taste and have managed to pass with flying colors. Steamed, fried or pan fried, you can try their pizza momos in a variety of styles and we assure you, you won’t regret it. These Pizza Momos get a thumb up from our end!

3. Achari Chilli Chicken Momos

Moving on, we tried these Chilli Chicken Momos cooked over the tandoor in typical Indian achari style. Served with the standard mint sauce, these Achari Chilli Chicken Momos were the highlight of this place! The chicken filling had been cooked to perfection and the outer coating had a lip-smacking achari twist, as expected. We were amazed to see the perfect amalgamation of the Chinese chilli chicken and the typical Indian tandoori achari flavor. Be ready to order a bottle of Coke after this, as the chilly will soon get to you!

4. KOM Special Chicken Classic Momos

Bearing the stamp of being the specialty of Kingdom Of Momos, we couldn’t afford to give these ones a miss. Six pieces of crunchy, hot and fried momo-balls stuffed with minced chicken, thinly sliced cabbage and carrots got us hooked from the first bite! Served with a hot and spicy chutney and mayo, this dish truly made it onto our list of all time favourite snacks!

The place also serves a whole range of Chinjabi snacks like Manchurian, Honey Chilli Potatoes and Drums of Heaven. And considering the way the momos tasted, we can place our bets that these would be lip smacking too. 

What attracted the most to us was their KOM Platter, yes a platter of assorted, appetizing momos. You can choose up to three of your preferred kinds of momos for the platter and can relish the diverse array of momos on a single plate. It sure as hell can’t get better than this!

We’ve fallen mesmerizingly in love with this place after trying their delicacies. KOM earns brownie points for its maintenance of space and hygiene. The only drawback here was the time required for preparation. Almost all the tandoori items require a preparation time of at least 15 minutes and again, the wait is well worth it - come on by!
