Hello, lovely readers! By now, you all know that the government in a landmark decision announced that boards for this year have been cancelled for students of the 12th class. However, apart from the initial glee, we are sure they must have been going through a range of emotions, and a lot of thoughts must have been swirling in their minds. And so, we have made a list of 6 such initial thoughts that may have crossed every 12 standard student's mind when they heard that boards are now cancelled for this year. Let's dive right into the list.

Now, probably the first thought that every 12th standard student must have had when they heard about the boards being cancelled is that they don't have to worry about giving what is thought to be the scariest exam for a school kid. Adults know that it’s really not a big deal, but try telling that to a 12th standard student or their parents, they’ll beg to differ! Every student who’d been terrified of appearing for this examination must have been taking a sigh of relief!
2. “Toh Fir Poore Saal Ki Mehnat Barbaad?!”

There will definitely be a large chunk of students who might have been disappointed with the announcement. We all know that being in the 12th standard means preparing for board exams from the first day onwards, so, it’s quite natural that some may feel that their hard work to excel in these papers might have just been a futile attempt. No one can really blame them for feeling this way, right?!
3. “Toh Main Abhi Padhna Chalu Rakhu Ya Nahi?”

The next step after board examinations usually involves preparing for the entrance exams. This verdict has indeed created quite a lot of confusion amid the students as they don't know if they should continue revising the syllabus given for these exams or if they should chuck their books aside and start preparing for several university entrance exams that they are bound to give at some point or the other. It’s an understandable fear, no?
4. “Yeh Toh Sach Hai Ki Bhagwan Hain”

A lot of students, who must have been dreading to appear for the most important exam for a school student, have been jumping with joy! And why not? We’ve all been there, for a moment we might also be rejoicing and singing praise to the Lord for not having to face these dreaded exams. So, even they probably would have been thanking all the gods known to humankind for the cancellation of boards as it is quite natural to fear the unknown.
5. “Ab Aagey Peeche Wale Students Ki Tension Over!”

This one is for all the students who had been pretty anxious about appearing for board examinations not because of the exams but due to the looming fear of COVID-19. The reason being that they would have been surrounded by several students in one classroom and one cough or one sneeze is enough to send anyone into sheer panic mode in today’s world. So now they can pretty much sit back and not constantly worry about how to keep social distance while giving exams and creating scary scenarios in their heads.
6. “Bhagwan Average Jaise Bhi Calculate Ho Bas Accha Ho!”

Now we all know that the government is yet to decide how the results of the current batch of the 12th standard will be calculated. So it's quite natural that now they will have to worry about the final results and we’re pretty sure that countless students are currently praying to all the gods up in the sky for a good average. Who wouldn’t, right?!
7. “Woh Sab Theek Hai, But College Ka Kya?!”

This thought must have crossed the mind of almost every student who was supposed to give their final board examinations to pass out from school. Even though the government has for now done away with boards for this year, the first question that every student will be thinking about is how they will be filling the college application forms. And rightly so, after all, we’d been dependent on board examinations for the longest time!
These were just some of the thoughts that may have crossed their minds and yet, we can’t begin to summarise them in a single list. So, if you’re someone who was supposed to appear for this major exam, let us know the first thought that came to your mind when this announcement came out!
