1. Malignant

The 1st  film on our list is Malignant by James Wan who is a renowned name in the horror genre for bringing to us The Conjuring, Insidious, Saw, and more bone chillers, so you get why we are excited. Another reason behind our glee is that the film is releasing in theatres on 10th September, and that’s oh-so-soon! We can’t wait to take our bestie or our bae and enjoy Malignant in the theatres we missed so much!

2. A Quiet Place - Part II 

After the smashing popularity of the 2018 American horror film, A Quiet Place, we all were eagerly waiting to see more of the extraterrestrial creatures with hypersensitive hearing and post-apocalyptic humanity. Our wish was granted with a sequel, but we had to wait for it for so long! The film was finally released in the US in May, but it still hasn’t been here. Well, at least we now have a date - 17th September! Follow the adventures of the Abbott family as they battle these creatures and are forced to stay quiet... again, but this time in theatres!

3. Ghostbusters: Afterlife

Ghostbusters: Afterlife or Ghostbusters III is the sequel to the original 1984 Ghostbusters and 1989 Ghostbusters II. Ghostbusters III had been in various stages of production since 1989, and we finally got a follow-up story, set 30 years after the events of the second film, where a single mom & her 2 children move to a small town only to discover their connection to the original Ghostbusters! This is why we are super excited about its release, and also for its impressive cast. We suggest y’all catch up on the previous movies and get ready before its release on 12th November!

4. Last Night In Soho 

We’re excited about this film ‘cause it seems unlike the cliche horror films, that usually has a troubled spirit. Looking at the trailer, we saw a glimpse of the protagonist travelling back in time, assuming a whole new avatar and its repercussions. Oof, that sounds very promising! The film is also directed and written by Edgar Wright, who brought us Baby Driver & The World’s End, and is known for his fast-paced & music-heavy films and signature editing style. We can’t wait to see what he has up his sleeves with Last Night In Soho, which releases in theatres on 12th November.

5. Don’t Breathe 2  

Don’t Breathe, which was released back in 2016 was an incredibly intense thriller. The unique  American Horror film wasn’t dependent on supernatural elements, yet it was super creepy, twisted, and tense! About a blind old man and a group of thugs who try to steal his wealth, we all loved this movie a lot. Therefore, our happiness knows no bounds knowing that its sequel is gonna release in India on September 17th. It is set years after the first film and sees the return of Norman Nordstrom, so prepare yourselves, amigos!

6. Halloween Kills

If you are a horror fanatic, you might already be aware of the American ‘Halloween’ franchise, a slasher horror film (that involves a killer murdering a group of people). Halloween Kills is the 12th film of this franchise, a sequel to 2018 Halloween. It is about Laurie Strode’s endeavours to end the reign of Michael Myers, an unstoppable serial killer once and for all. Find out if she succeeds on 22nd October, right in time for Halloween!
