5 Quirky Fusion Delicacies You Must Try Under 200 Bucks @ Mag 'N' Cheese, Kamla Nagar

Whoever said ‘Don’t judge a book by its cover’ was a genius because that’s something we truly and completely believe in now. When we first passed by the newly opened Mag ‘n’ Cheese while hunting for some chic clothes and scrummy food, we didn’t know that this rather small and basic looking joint will be full of interesting and innovative dishes.

Situated in the famous K Nags, this one’s a hidden gem in one of the food and shopping hubs of North Delhi, especially for Delhi University students. WIth a menu that is as diverse as our content, they have everything that you’ll need like pizzas, burgers, maggis and more starting at just 30 bucks! So, without further ado, let’s dive into everything that we tried here.

1. Pizza Pot Pie

We love pies and pizzas separately but what about a dish that combines the best of both worlds? Well, that’s exactly what the Pizza Pot Pie at Mag ‘n’ Cheese offers. A scrumptious and filling pie full of veggies of your choice (for all you choosy pickers) and loads and loads of our most favourite ingredient, cheese. The best part was that they prepare the pie and the fillings fresh and in-house.This is probably the place in Delhi for the freshest pizza pie right out of the oven. It’s a must-try for all deep dish pizza lovers and is a bargain for your money!

2. Cheesy Upside Down Burger

We’ve heard of the world turning upside down but what about this Upside Down Burger? Well, we agree that at first this burger looks confusing to eat but trust us, this one’s a definite hit. Made with some absolutely delish ingredients, this one came with a crispy patty, cheese, an upside down flavoured bun finished with lots of fries and mayo on a stick. The fries on this burger were made of sweet potato and had a nice sweet aftertaste to them. The garlic and cheese buns were our favourite part because of how yummy they were. Presentation wise, the dish was spot on and totally bang for the buck!

3. Spiral Pizza

Turns out they have too many innovative dishes for you all to explore, like their Spiral Pizza. This dish was basically small standing spiral spring rolls which were made of flattened pizza base, filled with pizza toppings & sauces and sprinkled with oregano and chilli flakes. The sauces used to prepare this snack was very different from the traditional ones as they had a tangy flavour to them. It was an interesting combo of Indian taste and international presentation and was served with 2 kinds of mayonnaise. We won’t say that we’re going gaga over it but it’s defo worth a shot!

4. Tex Mex Maggi

Maggi is our forever love and nobody can deny that. Our hearts stopped when Maggi was discontinued for a short while and we let out a sigh of relief once it was back. So, we had to give their interesting Maggi variants a try and we went for the Tex Mex flavour. A fusion of Texas and Mexican flavours, the Tex Mex Maggi here took us on a flavoursome rollercoaster ride, with hints of tangy, spicy and sweet in it. It was served piping hot and was topped with cream, so thumbs us!

5. Pizza Fries

And they did it again! Another fusion that we simply cannot refuse, Pizza Fries, I mean how can that not taste good? Well, it didn’t disappoint us at all, in fact, we loved the amalgamation of crispy potato fries with the most delish topping made of American corn, onions, bell peppers and some other delish sauces and ingredients. The toppings were customisable because you deserve choices, right? This was one of our favourites, hands down because we loved the burst of flavours and the twist to normal french fries. We’d highly recommend this one!

What’s more is that they have a live kitchen so you can watch while they prep your food, now how cool is that?! All in all, you should totally visit this eatery for some creative fusion food that’s not too heavy on the pocket!
