Believe it or not, as impossible 2021 seemed at times, it’s finally nearing an end. So, it’s time to look back and reflect on all that happened this year. Let’s look at all the experiences that made us stronger, moments that made us laugh & cry, and people that stayed with us throughout. It’s also a moment to count all our blessings. And, here’s the best of them all. Look back at all the wonderful cafes & restaurants that opened up in Delhi this year and became our new favourites! So let’s begin this trip down memory lane.

1. Harajuku Tokyo Cafe

In January 2021, this sweet cafe opened its doors and wowed us with its pretty pink decor and obviously, its fluffy pancakes, toothsome desserts and mouth-watering Japanese cuisine! Some totally scrummy dishes we love having here are Firecracker Tofu Bao, Dynamite Roll, Jiggly Japanese Pancakes & so on.

2. Baari Cafe

Yes, Baari Cafe too opened its doors in 2021 and made us swoon with its too-pretty-for-words decor dotted with greenery and cutesy decor and also - swing chairs! Our love for Champa Gali grew more & more as we noshed onto Cheesy Omelet, Chicken N Mozzrella Bombs, Butter Chicken Pasta, Fireball Fries and more.

3. Coco N Chilli

A dreamy cafe called Coco N Chilli brought beach vibes to saadi Delhi with its cabanas, shack-like booth seating, marble pebble flooring, macrame swing chairs and also like a thousand fairy lights! We totes dig the relaxed vibe here and can’t wait to head over again & devour down Katori Chaat, Bombay Cheese Sandwich, Hara Bhara Kabab & more.

4. Cafe Stay Woke

There’s nothing we like more than outdoor cafes on a sunny winter morning and when that cafe has seating by a waterfront, it’s already a winner in our eyes. This is why we were super thrilled to welcome Cafe Stay Woke in our beloved city and some scrummy dishes you can find on their menu include Wild Mushroom French Toast, 6 Layer Paneer Tikka, Chicken Souvlaki & more.

5. Woodstock Bakery & Coffee Shop

East Delhi too got a wonderful bakery & coffee shop this year, that has gorgeous indoor & outdoor seating and it has already become one of our favourite hangout spots in Delhi to grab a delicious cup of coffee. Some dishes that perfectly pair up with our coffee include Smoked Chicken Sandwich, Caramel Brownie Sundae, Lava Cake Cup and more.

6. Laduree

When this cute French bakery made its way to our precious Khan Market, we were on cloud nine! Laduree has a soft & beautiful ambience almost as sweet as the delightful desserts they serve. 7. Norwang Cafe

Norwang Cafe brought with it serious Santorini vibes to the city and this rooftop cafe in Majnu Ka Tilla overlooking the Signature Bridge was quick to fix a permanent place in our hearts. Some yummilicious dishes they whip up are Fish N Chips, Mushroom Stroganoff, Mexican Chicken Pizza and more.

This rooftop bar in Vasant Kunj won our hearts with its stylishly decorated and elegantly decked up decor. Pllatos Air Bar has a forever lively & vibrant atmosphere and some scrumptious dishes they serve are Diced Chicken Five Spicy, Non-Vegetarian Maki Platter, Mutton Biryani and more.

10. On Air Bar & Kitchen

We think that 2021 was a year of rooftops & everything outdoorsy and this new cafe in Faridabad stole our hearts with its delightful rooftop ambience too! With a pretty tree made up of artificial white & pink roses right in the centre of the enchanting rooftop, On Air Bar & Kitchen is a must-visit in Faridabad. Big Pitcher is a super happening brewpub in Gurgaon that is the only microbrewery in North India serving 10 types of freshly brewed beers. It overlooks the breathtaking Gurgaon skyline and has a quirky feature - you can take your car up to the main gate on the 2nd floor! The stunning cafe has several Insta-worthy nooks and corners with fetching wall art, flowery decor and quirky neon signs… Oh, and an adorable swing too. 14. The Palette

All the hidden, amateur, hobbyist and professional artists rejoiced when this art-themed cafe with chic pastel decor and a relaxing vibe opened up in The Dhan Mill. They allow you to dab a little paint as you sit and relax with your closest friends and have a wonderfully happy time! Some mouth-watering dishes they whip up for you include Freshly Baked Croissants, Brekkie Burger, Lebanese Zatar Spiced Chicken and more.

15. Chido

The last month of 2021 also welcomed a swanky new bar in the heart of Delhi CP & we just got a new place to chill after work with our colleagues. Chido has a rich & classy decor that with its dark grey tones and stylish interiors invites us all again & again. They will also soon get an outdoor courtyard and we cannot wait to head over and gobble down Desi Taco, Rawa Fried Fish & Chips, Butter Chicken Toastie, Crispy Chicken With Dry Chillies, and more.

Amelia By The Playpen is a charming European cafe that opened up in Gurgaon in 2021. Amelia has a striking painting that makes a wonderful photo-op and the entire cafe has a lovely and aesthetically pleasing European kinda vibe with swing chairs & pastel hues.
