2022 Beating Retreat Ceremony Will Feature 1,000 Drone Display & A Lazer Show For The First Time!

Hola folks! Republic Day is almost knocking on the doors and this year marks 75 years of India’s independence. Now, this definitely calls for a grand celebration! And, that is why a unique addition has been made to the annual Beating Retreat ceremony. Read on to know everything about it!

Grand Celebrations | This year, to commemorate 75 years of the country's Independence, the annual ‘Beating The Retreat Ceremony’ will include a first-of-its-kind 1,000-drones display where 1,000 drones will be flying in synchronisation with background music. These high tech drones have been developed by an IIT Delhi startup called Botlab Dynamics, and with this, India will become the fourth country to conduct a drone show of this grand level after China, Russia and the US. 

Along with this, a special laser ‘projection mapping’ show will also be held and will be displayed on the wall of the North and South Block to exhibit 75 years of Independence. Sounds absolutely spellbinding, doesn’t it? We really can’t keep calm since we’ve heard about these unique additions. What about you?
